April Fool’s Day today was pretty boringgg! In other years we have done pretty awesome things to teachers, but now this year.
Anyway, we did do a FEW things…
There are two sections of English that go on at a time… one with this teacher named Mr. Pool, and the other with this teacher name Ms. Hansen. Basically, the classes switched! Mr. Pool noticed a few minutes into it that he didn’t recognize the students, but Ms. Hansen had had all the students that switched to her class last year, so she knew them, and she so she basically was going on with class. Meanwhile, Mr. Pool just talked to the people in his class, waiting for Ms. Hansen to figure out! She never did, and so Mr. Pool had to go and be like “Hey, give me back my class…”
Also, in my French class, we hid in the closet, and Ms. Houlette, our teacher, got pretty pissed off… she was like “this is NOT ok, guys”, and we were laughing hysterically and falling out of the closet one by one screaming “we’re from Narnia”, “I’m Aslan!!!” and other stupid American humor… it was kind of funny, though. J
That’s all we did to teachers, though… pretty uneventful… a few years ago we took the door knob off the door and the teacher could not get in, and we partyed all class… we got in trouble as you may imagine…
One of my friends, A, really likes my friend, D’s brother, so she and my friend, C, wrote a letter to her pretending it was D’s brother, saying that he wanted to go out with A… Poor A!!! That’s it, though…
My friend Elizabeth and I usually have a lot of tricks, but this year, we forgot about April Fool’s day!!! Whatever – we plan tricks all the time, so anything on April Fool’s day would not be that shocking.

March Vacation is over! Back to school... the final stretch! I can't wait until summer and SINGAPORE! I'm so glad that we are going this summer. My brother is not going, b/c he will still be in school and a week after he gets out of school he is going on a six week biking trip, ACROSS THE COUNTRY! He loves that sort of thing. When I get back from Singapore I will be going to a four week camp in Vermont, which should be fun. Today the girls who will be entering 9th grade at Winsor next semester came, so my whole class was stalking them. I knew one of the girls. She is very nice, and we used to be in the same ballet class. I hope she decides to come to Winsor, and not stay at her old school.
There has be SO much rain this month! Apparantly the most in 100 years in this area. There is major flooding in many streets. On the news they said that a few people have used kayaks to get around!

Quebec City was amazing! :-)

My favorite part was dog sledding. Unfortunetly, I was too light to drive the sleigh myself (I put both feet on the break, but it kept going - the dogs were still able to pull at quite a fast speed, and the guy was like "Ok, I have to go with you...", and I was like "oh crap"- actually I thought more of a swear, but I'm not going to post it), so it was not AS fun, but was still amazingly wonderful! Haha. Anyway, while we were dog sledding one of the dogs stopped, and the guy was like "hold on, it has to do a little shit" in this funny Canadien accent, and it was hilarious.

Another fun part of the trip was tabogganing - that's an old fashioned kind of sledding - all we did was scream all the way down, but it wasn't really scary, we just screamed for fun.

The drive was 7-8 hours, but it was OK, because we watched movies. It was really awkward with the teachers during the R rated sections....

Also, the ice hotel was fabulous! It is this hotel made of all ice and snow.... aaah so cool!

Guess where I will be Friday-Sunday?
QUEBEC CITY WITH MY FRENCH CLASS!!!
We have to arrive at Winsor at 6 in the morning. The drive is 8 hours long (approx). We will arrive back on Sunday at around 8 at night. I am soooo excited!!! It will be amazing!!! The touring is gonna be awesomeeee :)

I had to write a poem for school, and I wrote it about ANGER. For Melissa, who is right now very angry.....

Anger
by Sarah Goodman

Anger burns a hole in any material,
Whether hard as diamond,
Soft as cotton,
Thick as stone,
Or thin as paper.

Anger is a dancer,
Clad in red, orange, and brown,
Twisting
whirling,
leaping
and
cracking.

Anger is an untamed beast,
Which lashes out to bite,
Even the innocent,
With sharp, bloody, white fangs
Spitting balls of fire,
And words of malice.

Anger is a sheer, yet visible curtain
That envelopes the soul
And blights ones sight to reason,

Anger is uncontrollable passion,

On Friday, my class hosted a dance! We invited several schools. The theme was NEON. I did not wear neon, b/c I don't have any neon, but I wish I did, b/c some people went all out! It was pretty awesome though. I invited my BFF from my old ballet school, Marjorie, as my guest, and we talked and talked! We talked with Elizabeth too. Together the three of us are the Three Muskuteers :). I love them both! The music was really loud, though, so since I was yelling to be heard the whole time, by the end I lost my voice! It came back within the hour, though. Anyway, it was tightly chaperoned (the teachers at my school can get very cRazY!), until the very end. Right when the lights came on, and the music stopped, two students started making out right in the middle of the dance floor. Everybody was watching them (except the adults). The chaperones probably thought that nobody would do anything because the lights were on and stuff. Another incedent is that a boy came in a neon green body suit (you could not even see his face). During the "sandstorm" (that's a song), he ripped it off. All the boys from his class huddled around him, and you heard him yelling "GIVE ME MY PANTS", or "GIVE ME MY SHIRT!". So, he was basically changing... in the middle of the dance floor... during the sandstorm... after ripping a neon green body suit off his body.... yup. Haha!

Hello!

I wish that my friends in America had blogs.... it would make it feel more useful. Anyway, I had a piano recital today! It went pretty well. Tomorrow, I have a packed schedule. I have to go to my temple, and package food for the elderly, and then deliver bags at their houses. I've done it before, and it is quite fun. Also, tomorrow I am going to go to my ex cello teacher's concert. She is part of the Boston trio. She is a fabulous cellist, and I am so excited! She is also a very beautiful lady, and is sooo nice!

The three pictures from my last post are from my play!!! As you can tell, I was a witch from Macbeth. It was really fun. Tomorrow I have the Holiday Concert at my school, where I am singing with my chorus, and I also my class and the Class Iers (the 5th graders) are getting together, so I get to talk with my little sis more! I'm excited.
Do you get what the play was about? It was called "Aspects of Love". Basically there are 6 plays, "The Taming of the Shrew", "Much Ado about Nothing", "Romeo and Juliet", "Twelfth Night", "Macbeth", and "As You Like It". The director took 2 scenes from each of the 6 plays, and put it into a play that rotates around the theme of LOVE! It was sooo much fun. I'm sad it's over.

Our first Shakespeare performance was today! It went quite well. The audience loved my scene, which is good! We used dry ice in the cauldron (I am a witch), but it faded away pretty quickly. My piano playing for the earlier Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado scenes went well! On my last piece, though, someone pulled the plug so nobody could hear my last chord! Nobody could tell though, over the singer's voices, so it was OK. Our second and final performance is tomorrow! I'm really excited. I'm also excited for the banquet, I wonder what the parents have in store for us. I will try to take a lot of pictures, and upload a few onto my blog. Be warned, my makeup is very creepy!

It is time that I update my blog. This Thursday and Friday, I have my Shakespeare performances! As you all know, I am a WiTcH in Macbeth. It is a very fun role, but our costumes make us look like puritan girls, not evil and creepy witches! I am also playing the piano several several times for the play. Furthermore, on Tues and Wed, I am going to the younger classmen's homerooms, and giving a synopsis of our play. I made a whole slideshow for it, and am pretty excited.

So. What am I up to? This History project on William the Conquerer... fun.... NOT! Haha. Oh and I had a 2 hr orthodontist appointment! It was horrible. They took FOREVER! Well, looking at the happier things in my life....

I may get to see Maggie's ballet school's production of the Nutcracker (that would mean I get to go to NYC and see her backstage, maybe even get together afterwards) funfunfun.

Hmm.... I did a whole lot of fouttes (that is mispelt). They are this really hard turn in ballet where you basically do a pirouette and then whip your leg around, so you keep going and going and going. Melissa do you know what they are? Yeah so I was REALLY excited about that. It was a BREAKTHROUGH!

And also I got two tests back today, one chemistry and one math, and I got A's in both of them. Yay! Ugg but I get my History test back tomorrow and I don't think I did well at all...!!!

OH and I think my 'little sister' is really starting to like me. YAY!!!

also we may meet the Lams in PARIS or LONDON this summer adn then proceed onwards 2 singapore after staying there for a bit. how fun!!!!!!!

More of the Shakespeare project today! It was fun. We sang lots of songs, and my teacher gave me the piano pieces I had to learn for the show!!! Doing music is fun, but I can't wait till I get to rehearse my acting part. I'm a witch in Macbeth, and the Witches scene is really cool.

yup. so today was the mascot party! it was kind of... A FAIL. first of all, i couldnt find my little sister person, and i walk up to her finally and go "are you Alexandra" and she's like "NO im Alexa" and i wasnt quick enough to figure out that was her nick name so im like "oh sorry!" and walk away. and then i went 2 a teacher and was like "i cant find my lil sis" and the teacher was like "that was her..." and i was like "ohhhhhh" so everything went downhill from there.
and the 'presenting of the mascot' was a fail because we were showing them the slideshow of winsor (thats my school) and after the first slide, the teacher accidentaly hit the back button so everyone could see the last slide which was a surprise picture of the mascot we were giving them. so the slide show was ruined. and then one of the girls who was supposed to present the mascot brought it out 2 early so she just walks out from behind the screen and we're all like "NOOO go back!". but it was all really funny! and the party was fun cuz we got 2 eat lots of cupcakes and stuff and socialize with the lil kids!

so i havnt updated my blog for a while. school is great. i just had a french test today. it was OK. there was so much vocab on it and lots of vocab from last year which i wasnt expecting. haha well at least i dont think i failed!
my bday is in. a day less than 3 weeks from now!! haha!
tomorrow we have the mascot party for the little kids at my school and i am meeting my 'little sister'. our class is giving the 5th graders a seal as a mascot. its pretty ugly- thats what happens when you let teachers pick it out. but anyway my mom has 2 bake choco chip cookies for the party and she is not happy about it since i only told her about it just now.... tehheee!
yup.
oh ya and i am recovering from some kind of weird illness. i thought it was a cold, but it was accompanied with a fever..... weirdddddd

Senator Kennedy's Funeral

Today was Senator Edward Kennedy's funeral. He died earlier this week of a brain tumor. My family watched his funeral this morning on TV. I had a piano lesson afterwards, and when we were heading back home from it, we saw a line of cars, and a big traffic jam. We were wondering what happened, and then we saw cars pulling to the side of the highway, and people getting out of the cars. We also saw people standing on the bridge waving American flags. It was a mob scene up there! We figured that this was all from Sentator Kennedy's funeral procession, and sure enough, a hearse, followed by a long line of cars (limos) drove down the highway. Kennedy's grandson rolled down the window, and waved to the people lined up on the side of the road and on the bridge. I suspect that President Obama was in one of the cars driving in the funeral procession. May Senator Kennedy rest in peace! He did so much for America and we are grateful.

I have not updated for a while!!! So I finally am (happy, Melissa? :) tehe). Hmmm school is starting in about 3 weeks - a little less than that - SO SAD!!! :( I wish vacation was longer haha.
For the rest of vacation I'm just hanging out at home, and maybe will visit NYC one or twice. also, my friend from NYC may come to Boston for a few days and stay at my house.
Anyhow the WORST thing is school!!! ewwwwww

haha it has been a while since i updated my blog! i better update more often cuz i don't want it to die!!! anyhow, after coming back from singapore, i went to new york for a ballet camp. it was really fun. i am also going to D.C. this Sunday and maybe the Grand Canyon! EXCITING!

Today we went shopping at Takashimaya. We= Elizabeth, Mel, my mom, and me (duh). We bought some stuff, and went for 'high tea'. The whole time my mom was screaming at us about proper behavior... :P it was pretty funny!

Tomorrow is my last full day in Singapore :'( . Some people from the Lam's church are going with us to Wild Wild Wet. Exciting!
